After studying oenology in France, Jaume Gramona returned home with a new love for Chardonnay. His first plantation, in the 1980s, was this variety. Years later, he made his first still wine: Mas Escorpí, named after the place of its origin.

The Chardonnay variety has an excellent capacity for adaptation. Thanks to the soil from which it comes and its clean and careful vinification, we achieve a fresh yet richly lush wine with delightful aromas.

Production

After careful harvesting by hand, the grapes undergo the selection process on the sorting table. Only the tête de cuvée, the first pressing of the grapes, is used to make this wine. Fermentation is extended to 30 days, a much longer time than is customary. These factors, in addition to a fermentation in stainless steel, make this a fresh Chardonnay with a lovely lush palate.
